We are looking for a aide to provided daycare under the supervision of the school district. 

 

 

 

 

JOB GOAL: Aide will assit the implementation an appropriate childcare program in an integrated setting. 

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:  

  • Classroom preparation and management at the beginning and end of each day as well as the  beginning and end of the school year (organizing supplies, cleaning tables and equipment as  needed) 
  • Plan unit themes and help prepare materials for all projects; Create and prepare the learning  environment in the classroom and outdoors to support learning 
  • Work with individual and small group instruction in the classroom 
  • Have strong classroom management skills; maintain discipline of groups of young students 
  • Implement an individual behavior plan and work with early learning interventionists as needed 
  • Implement a curriculum (lessons, activities, trips, etc) that is developmentally appropriate, in accordance with placed-based, nature-based, expeditionary learning.  
  • Support children and families with potty training 
  • Completion of monthly and daily differentiated lesson plans using thematic and expeditionary learning methods; communicate these plans to lead teacher/director.  
  • Be familiar with all health and emergency policies of the program and be ready to implement them if necessary. Be familiar with Colorado Minimum Rules and Regulations for Child Care Centers.
  • Attend all required staff meetings and recommended training programs (no less than 15 hours per year) and conferences; provide the director with documentation in accordance with state requirements. 
  • Be flexible and willing to work with children of all ages if necessary, including supervision, play,  teaching, cleaning, support with self-help skills (eating, toileting, dressing, etc) 
  • Create and implement individual learning plans for all students.

QUALIFICATIONS: 

  • Minimum HS Diploma or GED.  Associate’s Degree in ECE or minimum of 15 completed semester credits in ECE at an accredited college or university or a PDIS level III preferred. 
  • Peferred Bachelors
  •  Experience in teaching young children 
  •  Ability to work cooperatively on a team with other professionals 
  •  Adequate mobility to perform the following tasks: restrain students, catching running students, lift moving objects  
  •  Possess sufficient manual dexterity and eye-hand coordination to perform responsibilities as described
  •  Able to work independently without direct supervision 
  •  Excellent interpersonal and communication skills for interacting with students, staff, coworkers, administrators and parents. 
  •  Proficiency in basic computer skills, MS Office and Google Suite.  
  •  Ability to maintain confidentiality.
